Monica Mayer Broggi discovered her passion for Interior Design during her freshman year of college while taking the Intro to Interior Design elective. Following graduation from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in interior design and a minor in construction management, she began her career with a local design showroom where she was tasked with projects ranging from simple countertop replacement to complete home remodels and even a couple superyachts. She learned the importance of understanding her client’s needs and expectations as well as maintaining strong client relationships from beginning to end, and she was awarded the 2008 Distinguished Sales Award by Sales & Marketing Executives of Baton Rouge. After a brief design hiatus, Monica returned to her love of residential interiors with a position at a high-end design build firm specializing in renovations where she was responsible for guiding her clients through every phase of the design process from initial consultation to construction completion under a variety of budgets, styles, timeframes, and requirements. This role supplied her with extensive construction knowledge, impeccable project management skills, and the affirmation that she found her niche in a position blending design and construction. After 18 years of honing her skills and expertise in various aspects of the design and construction industry, Monica launched Province Interiors so she could continue to design and manage renovation projects while also offering the same level of service for new construction clients.
Unlike most designers that possess a signature look that is reflected in every one of their projects, Monica designs for her clients, not herself, by creating interiors that reflect her client’s style and suit their needs. She believes in curating spaces without doing what everyone else is doing and strives to create homes for her clients that stand the test of time, both aesthetically and functionally. Monica recognizes that design is only part of the process of building or renovating a home, so she prides herself on the value her construction experience brings to each phase of the project. By making it her province to ensure that every job flows smoothly, efficiently, and on budget, she aims to create a safe, comfortable atmosphere for clients to relax and enjoy the journey, confident that they have a dedicated partner by their side every step of the way.
Monica is a nationally recognized NCIDQ certificate holder, a Certified Aging in Place Specialist through the National Homebuilders Association, and a licensed interior designer in the state of
Louisiana. Her work has been published in 225 magazine, InRegister, and The Advocate as well as featured in the Junior League Kitchen Tour and Baton Rouge Parade of Homes.
